Final Exam review.

 The Rebels in Cairo, Egypt are still in the power struggle with their corrupt government who was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of its' own citizens. Following the attack of this morning the rebels or the government seem to be letting up the battle is being taken across the country as the fight for justice presses on.


The Cruiser 1-9568 has taken lift off to the new planet Forgus 9-0 to explore the surface of the planet for the first time and bring back some samples from the green planet. The planet was discovered by none other than Dr. Zigersbie, a Russian Astronomer who had discovered the planet four years ago. 


1. Rule of thirds - The Main subject of the photo is on one of the four corners.

2. Balancing Elements - The photo has an equal amount of objects in it and doesn't look awkward.

3. Leading Lines - The viewer is lead to look at a certain point of the photograph.

4. Symmetry and Patterns (repetition) - Symmetry is when you see the photo and you can cut or bend it in half and the look of one side will be the same as the one on the other side.

5. Viewpoint - Getting a different perspective in the photo that no one usually does.

6. Background - What is behind the subject of your picture and the background is supposed to make the photograph look interesting and make the person or object stand out or blend in a bit.

7. Create depth - In the photo you can see the subject and you can see the background go off a certain distance and gives the feeling that you are actually there.

8. Framing - The subject of the photo is in center or what have you and it has a good background with nothing cut out or a bad merger.

9. Cropping - There isn't wasted space in the photo.

10. Mergers and avoiding them - Mergers are when the photographer snaps the photo but has parts of objects or parts of people or really bad blurs.


Aperture -The camera is able to control how big or small the aperture is and how much light travels in the lens.

ISO - ISO is the sensitivity that the camera has, the lower the ISO the less sensitivity it has. The higher the ISO the higher the sensitivity to light it is.

Shutter Speed - Shutter speed is how fast the photo is taken.If your taking a photo of a fast moving object the faster the shutter speed has to be so it can catch the object if the shutter speed is slow on a fast object the object will have a motion blur.

To get your folder onto the server you make a blogger account using gmail and when you get your blogger set up you just copy your url and send it to the teacher and he ads you to the photoj blog page.Whenever your on the blogger  and you make a post you just click the orange pencil looking thing and publish your blag. And it is added to your blog on the akins photoj blog.


Manipulating photos in photo shop are okay just to make the resolution and other things look a lot clearer. But using photo shop to make someone look thinner or fatter or generally make a person look like something that is far off from what they really are is unethical. Ethical photo shop is maybe doing minor fixes on someone like fixing fly a ways on the their hair go away or if asked to clean up their blemishes that is okay to do. IF they ask.

Environmental portrait- A photograph that has a background  that tells a story rather than using words and a subject that gives more emphasis to the photograph.

Self portrait - A photograph of a person either looking at the camera or looking away a bit. A self portrait can be formal of informal.

Casual Portrait - A casual portrait is a photograph that the person in the photo themselves are not doing anything so planned out but something like caught in the moment kind of.

Exposure - amount of light that is passed through the camera.

Depth of Field - The distance between the closest object and the farthest.

 Focal Length - Distance from the lens to the film.
